Prince Surveyors is committed to providing ongoing customer support with our customers’ responsibility and employees’ safety top of mind.

We’ve been monitoring the daily COVID-19 news updates and implementing and adjusting policies and procedures to align with the latest Coronavirus safety guidance.

Complying with Government Coronavirus safety advice has meant adapting how we perform building surveys and provide other services to our customers. We aim to minimize inconveniences and inefficiencies while taking the necessary precautions to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

What Safety Precautions Are We Taking?

Surveyors must be physically present at a property to carry out a proper inspection. Our surveyors will wear full PPE equipment while onsite at the property. We have a “no handshake” policy and will instead offer a friendly smile as a greeting.

We are also requesting that, where possible, occupants should not be in the property at the time the survey is conducted. Should vacating the property not be possible, we will follow social distancing measures, and the surveyor will maintain a 3 metre distance from all occupants.

Surveyors must touch surfaces to carry out a proper inspection. Our surveyors may be wearing protective gloves were possible to minimize contact with the property. They will use hand sanitizers before/after touching any surfaces and will wipe down surfaces with disinfectant after contact has been made.

Before an inspection is to occur, we may inquire whether anyone in the household has displayed any COVID-19 symptoms within the last 14 days. If so, we will ask to postpone the appointment until a future date when all occupants have been symptom-free for at least 14 days.

We also require our staff members to report if they have contracted COVID-19 symptoms and demand that they follow the current guidelines regarding self-isolation and seek medical attention. Staff members are expected at a minimum to self-isolate for 14 days from when they first experienced COVID-19 symptoms. We may regretfully cancel or postpone any appointments if another staff member is not available as a replacement.

Some meetings and discussions that we’d typically prefer to have in-person will be conducted via video conference (e.g., Zoom) or telephone call.

Customer and Employee Safety Are Primary Concerns During Coronavirus

Besides our excellent project delivery and customer service standards, we’re taking all practical measures to minimize health and safety risks to our customers and employees during these extraordinary times.

We will continue to monitor the national and local COVID-19 news and safety guidance and continue adapting our service delivery policies and processes as needed. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about Coronavirus safety concerning your specific situation.
